Making the most of the Senior Fellowship
Since the Melton Foundation’s initiation in 1991, our community has grown to over 900 Senior Fellows from across the globe, representing a myriad of professions, skills, aspirations and motivations. We look back at over 30 cohorts of Melton Fellows joining the Foundation and three decades of connecting, empowering, and transforming change agents with skills, networks, and global opportunities to create shared spaces of learning and action, to work together across boundaries of space, identity, and sectors, and to drive impact locally with a global scenario in mind.
The Melton Foundation offers a variety of incentives and opportunities to its Fellows aimed at supporting personal and professional development and strengthening our community of global citizenship practice.
The biggest value, however, comes with every Fellow – their engagement, their contribution, their availability, and their openness to share. As a community, we thrive in Fellows’ participation and proactivity – in other words, it’s in your hands to make the most of this opportunity.
Through our fellowship and collaborative programs, we promote and enable global citizenship as a way for individuals and organizations to work together across boundaries of place and identity to solve challenges in an interconnected world.

Trainer/Facilitator
In our programs, we always have a need for trainers to facilitate workshops or support the program with their expertise. Calls for applications are sent out frequently on our mailing lists and in our LinkedIn group so stay tuned! Supporting our programs as trainers is a great way to engage with our program participants, and also enhance your public speaking, and networking skills!
Reviewer
The Melton Foundation often calls for reviewers that give a second opinion on content or programs that are under development. Some examples can be curriculum reviews, learning frameworks, proposals, but also investment strategies, or HR processes. The process normally includes two feedback rounds and Senior Fellow input is extremely appreciated.
Subject matter advisors
In our Programs we cover a variety of topics like leadership, intercultural learning, social innovation, system theory, entrepreneurship and many more. We are always looking for experts that can give an impulse or share their expertise. Let us know about a topic you are passionate about and we work together in how best to feature you in our programs.
Connectors
Our community is our biggest strength! We always look forward to receiving connections to organizations that are working in a similar field to us through our Senior Fellow! You can always connect us to potential funders, the CSR department of your organization, or any other partners for mutual benefit.

Our Global Citizenship in Practice podcast is the perfect way to voice your opinions on world issues! We are always looking for new and exciting conversations. Do you have something in mind? Maybe even a partner you would like to do the podcast with? Write to us and host a podcast episode, or more!
Participate in our Events
We are always thrilled to have Senior Fellows at events we organize in different world regions. You are welcome to attend these events and join the activities. These in-person meet-ups are an excellent opportunity to connect with old Melton friends and make new connections, while also sharing your own experiences with younger generations of Melton Fellows.

Melton Foundation Mailing Lists
Because email continues to be the one medium that easily connects everyone in the Melton Foundation, we use email distribution lists to communicate and exchange information internally. With email being one of the primary contact points to connect and engage our global community, it is really important to keep your primary email address up to date. Should you ever change your email, or prefer to use a different ID for your Melton Foundation communications, please let us now so we can update our system and keep in touch!

The global Melton community channel which is used for global announcements and discussions. The channel connects over 600 Melton Fellows, faculty members from partner universities, current and former staff members, our founders, and more. Please use caution while using this channel, as your email and responses will be distributed to and received by everyone on the list.
Senior Fellows

The channel that connects all our Senior Fellows (SFs). It is used primarily for SF-related announcements, calls for applications, etc. The channel connects all Senior Melton Fellows who have successfully completed our longstanding Junior Fellowship (which has evolved into our now Global Citizenship Learning Program) or our more recent Global Solvers Accelerator program.

The channel that connects all successful graduates from the Global Solvers Accelerator since its first iteration in 2021. It connects Global Solvers Accelerator participants across batches to further focused support, exchange, and collaboration between generations of Global Solvers Accelerator participants. This channel is restricted only to participants of our Global Solvers Accelerator from all batches.

Melton Foundation Grants
We have two types of Grants in the Melton Foundation – Action Grants and Opportunity Grants. Both are open for you as Senior Fellows. Action grants support your local impact project with funds but also access to the GlobalGiving Fundraising Platform. Opportunity Grants subsidize your participation at Global Melton Foundation events. Please reach out to our Grants Committee for more details.
