The Melton Foundation is a leading proponent of Global Citizenship practice worldwide. Since 1991, the Melton Foundation has focused its work on enabling individuals and organizations to work together on designing shared solutions to global issues. With the Melton Fellowship and other programs, we leverage cultural diversity and cross-sector collaboration to forge social change and innovation in emerging Global Citizenship Hubs and across the globe.

Our Aims

  • Develop young leaders and support the impact arising towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Nurture social-impact communities and ecosystems by connecting and convening motivated actors, institutions, and organizations locally and internationally.
  • Create opportunities and spaces to further education for advocacy and applied practices of Global Citizenship in Bangalore, India.

With unique ties with Bangalore and a long-standing partnership with one of Bangalore’s premier institutes the B.M.S Educational Trust, we are now seeking sustainable partnerships with social impact organizations, institutions, and individuals in the region to co-create a Global Citizenship Hub.

  • Gain access to a US-registered non-profit organization with strong networks in six major world regions and our global community of Fellows, partner organizations, and collaborators
  • Contribute to or initiate projects with our network locally or globally (in line with a joint strategy for purposeful community engagement)
  • Co-host/organize conferences, sessions, impulse talks, skill-based workshops, commit to #100Acts of Global citizenship, and build an ecosystem to advance the UN SDGs.

Bridging the gap in Mental Health Care: A Podcast

Bangalore's first-ever Digital Climathon with EIT-Climate KIC

Climathon Bengaluru 2021 was held under the banner of “Solutions to build Climate Resilience” from Oct 29th to Oct 31st, 2021, with a 50-hour online idea marathon, where students and researchers from educational institutes and universities developed practical prototypes to combat climate change, highlighting the role businesses and youth could play in promoting SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Throughout the course of two days, participants worked across ideational backgrounds and frameworks that sought to craft coherent, holistic solutions that held substantial promise to mitigate climate risks.
